Hi, my wife and I have been looking at an older house from the 50s. Most of it looks good except for the surfaces, which we can fix ourselves. Then there are various blemishes. Do you think any of this is serious and needs to be addressed soon?
One of the showers (bathtub image) has holes in the wall, but there's a fresher and more newly renovated shower that can be used. The pipes and plumbing are what I'm most uncertain about. They felt sturdy, and the pipes are thick, so where I could access and see, they are not close to rusting through. Although, sometimes it's oddly routed. Most of the plumbing has been replaced at least once since the house was built, and some old pipes remain in the walls (without water connected).
The electrical work is mixed too, with some newer (grounded) and quite a bit of ungrounded electricity. Two electrical panels, one for the newer electrical system.
