I have bought a newly built house and after inspection, we discovered that the roofs are wavy, the walls are wavy, and the parquet floor is springy... Not so fun, no :-( But where can you find information about how much a floor is allowed to spring, how much a wall is allowed to be wavy, and similarly how much a roof is allowed to be wavy?
All of this should have been measured by an inspector when he did the inspection, but it wasn't, and now we are having difficulty arranging a new inspection through the house supplier!
Hopefully, someone can give me an answer. THANK YOU!

I am moving this thread to "byggteknik," where I believe you have a better chance of getting answers to your questions about tolerances. Then I would suggest you look under "juridik" or start a new thread there about how to get a new inspection (if it is warranted).

If it's about a final inspection of a construction, you have a relatively short time to request a so-called re-inspection, a type of appeal of the inspection that was conducted. I don't remember the details of how long you have to act or the process surrounding the re-inspection (which is quite complicated).

If it concerns a transfer inspection during the purchase of property, I think slightly different rules (and also tolerances) apply.
