Hello building friends, I have a radiator that has given up. This is what the socket looks like, is it 230 or 400 v that's applicable?!

400 V because the black and blue are connected between L1 and L2. But measure to be sure.

Or hmm... I see now that there's an N in parentheses after L2 upon closer inspection. So you must measure; it could be that the radiator comes in two variants 230/400 V but they used the same label.

No, that is a hasty conclusion. LVI does not have different boxes for 400V and 230V. It says on terminal 2: "L2 (N)". It is impossible to know by looking at the box. Either you have to look at the nameplate on the old element or measure between black and blue.
