Hello,
I'm wondering if any of you reading this forum have used construction plywood (BP) behind drywall on interior walls? I had originally planned to use OSB boards, but I'm going to have a lot of 10mm BP left over when I eventually lay proper flooring on the intermediate floor where they currently are. What I'm most concerned about is movement in BP due to moisture and temperature. But maybe they don't cause more problems than OSB does? I imagine you should leave a gap of a couple of millimeters when installing. Maybe even a dab of wood glue on the studs? Has anyone done something similar?????

Grateful for a quick response

plyfa will be good.

Plywood moves less than OSB, to my knowledge.

I seem to recall that the 3mm gap between boards is only necessary with OSB (they are manufactured 3mm under the standard size for that reason), with plywood you probably shouldn't have it, the risk is that after 6-7 boards you might "slip" off the stud you are supposed to fasten to.

I didn't know that OSB is 3 mm below the standard.... Thanks for the information :)
