My bathroom has probably not been renovated since the 1990s! Under the vinyl sheeting is the usual thinner board you find in walls in older houses (ours built1939).

My question is, can I put up new väggplastmatta (for instace from tarkett) on the wall substrate that is already there?

I know I would need to remove the old vinyl sheeting, it is bubbling in places now anyway, so I am assuming the ahesive has stopped working, and then I would need to fill any holes, and make sure the substrate is clean, dry and smooth.

I am sure I once read somewhere on the GVK website that you can. If it is not in 'regulation' but will still work fine let me know too. I am assuming that it is ok as there has been no problem with mold etc in the bathroom and it has been this way for at least 30 years!

An approved "väggplatsmatta" is considered to be the protection against water and humidity so I would say that that should be the way you should do it according to regulation.
