I hope I may post my question here ? If not please remove it.

We are in Sweden with our Fiat Ducato 250 from 2011 with DPF and in Malmö the oil light came up but went off in a few seconds. The day after the light flash for 1 minute and went off again but after 2 hours it start flashing again for 1 minute and again after 2 hours. I drove 500km and get home in our vacationhouse in Storfors
Now when I start the car the light flash again for 1 minute and a message appears to change oil
I want to do it by my self like I always do and look on the Biltema site and found 2 filters that should fit the Ducato but which one is correct and what is the difference between the filters ?
I found filter 50129 for 89,90sek and filter 50161 for 129sek

And is Biltema 369012 oil good ?

And my last question is should I have to reset the ecu ?
Problem is I forgot the ecu plug that work with Fiatecuscan so I can not reset the ecu

I hope someone can help me out

Byu both filters and return the one that doesn't fit. You can return it in any Biltema store so you don't have to go back to the one where you bought it.

I certainly hope that Biltema’s oil is good enough, because I just bought some for my upcoming oil change :D

As for the ecu, you can get an OBD 2 Bluetooth adapter at Kjell & C:o (there are two such shops in Karlstad) for 300 kr and upwards, and reset the ecu using any of a number of smartphone apps.

Good luck!

Biltema oil is fine. Manufactured by OKQ8.

As long as you have oil in the engine there is nothing to worry about, oil change intervals are not that critical. You can also mix different oil types and brands.

Hej Johannes, do you mean I can keep driving and change oil in Holland ? That is what I prefer because I have a garage in Holland and that works much better then here on the ground :D
That is 1500km driving and 2000km over de oil change interval !

@ricebridge, thanks for the hint but I have an adapter in Holland which I forgot to put in the car but I have my laptop in the car. I also have the ELM adapter but that does not work with Fiatecuscan, at least I don´t get it to work.

2000km over interval is no problem, just make sure you have enough oil. You can use Biltemas oil to refill if necessary.

Thanks for answer in Dutch but since most people don´t read Dutch I will respond in English
It is thru that in the past it was more important to replace oil in time but the oil and engines are so much better that there is more tollerance
In Malmö I was chocked because I did not know what was happen but now that the change oil come up I know that is not so bad, more stupid that I forgot to change the oil at home before I went to Sweden.
I drive max 100km/h all the way back home so that is not to hard
I just went to Karlskoga and when I came back I check the oil level again and that is ok and the engine is dry so no leaks and no black smoke out of the exhaust
Engine runs well, it is just the flashing oil light for 1 minute and the message to change oil

I want to thank you all for all help and advices
I have talked to my garage in Holland and it is no problem to drive back to Holland as long as there is oil in the engine, the flashing of the oil light is just to remember that service is needed.
I already made an appointment with my garage to do the service when I come back
Again thank you all
