Wood material for 25mm thick shelves.
Going to make my own shelves for IKEA brackets
http://www.ikea.com/se/sv/catalog/products/30173339/
The thickness should be about 25mm and the depth preferably 190mm or alternatively 280mm. The length doesn't matter much as long as it is not under 500mm.
The important thing is that the thickness is correct.
I've been looking for cheap countertops or similar that are 25mm at places like IKEA and unfortunately have only found 27mm.
Regarding the material, I haven't decided at all yet.
I can consider both light and dark types of wood.
I don't have a car, so it becomes quite a big project to travel around to all the hardware stores just to look.
Thankful for answers.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good tip on where to find good shelves. 25mm seems quite unusual. 18 or 27 are the common dimensions for glue-laminated wood. But you can surely find it somewhere.
However, I'm very curious about why they have to be exactly 25mm. If it's the measurements of the bracket, Ikea should have matching shelves.

One idea is that there are usually massive wood floors with a thickness of 25 mm. Buildmax, for example, has 25x160. You can make a board from this quite quickly if you can attach it directly to the brackets, or alternatively, if some kind of battens on the underside are okay.
