My first post on byggahus!
I'm renovating our house and have finished the bathroom, so now it's the laundry room's turn. I have extended it and only got as far as putting wind barrier on the outside before it got so cold that condensation formed on the inside where warm air met cold air. Now I've installed a dehumidifier but am considering replacing the wind barrier with asfaboard (there is asfaboard on the rest of the house) because it has an insulating effect. What do you think about that? What speaks in favor of the wind barrier?

Wind barrier? Do you mean windproof paper or vapor-proof foil/plastic? Without knowing that, I can't give a sensible answer.
The wind barrier replaces the asphalt board. I see no reason to replace the wind barrier now that you have already put it up. You will have regular insulation too, right? A 150-250 mm glass wool or so? In that context, a 12 mm asphalt board doesn't matter from an insulation point of view.

what is a wind barrier? I've never heard the term.
It's a goretex for construction use, roughly speaking. That is, a fabric/membrane/film that lets moisture out and is windproof inward. The advantages are that it is significantly easier to handle and becomes more airtight due to fewer joints. The disadvantage is that it does not stabilize in the same way as asphalt.

The reason I'm considering installing asfaboard is that it's on the rest of the house and to avoid placing spacers on the battens so the panel aligns with the existing panel.
The reason I initially used windproof fabric is that I wanted to seal it quickly and didn't have asfaboard at home.
Now I've made a decision, and it will be asfaboard mainly because I want it to be uniform across the whole house. It's a bit more work, but it's not a large area.
