is this a regular windbreak?

http://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/dupont-tyvek-housewrap-100m-x-14m-roll.html

it says: Should be surface applied, fixed directly to sheathing ply /OSB, insulation or blockwork.

does that mean it should be applied on sheathing or can it be applied on studs with 600mm centers?

or does anyone have tips on more affordable windbreak windpaper?

it's for use in a warm-added extension and on a house when replacing paneling and building a new garage. so it's a few 100 m2 :)

But!

now I have calculated that 420m2 wind barrier and 225m2 underlay cost about 10500 at Beijer!
http://www.beijerbygg.se/store/priv.../vindskydd-tg-2-75x50m-900142395#.U5aiIzZvncs
http://www.beijerbygg.se/store/priv...derlagstak-tg-1-36x25m-900139171#.U5aiWDZvncs

it ends up being almost the same price as buying from England with shipping.
But is dupont tyvek maybe much better than these sold at Beijer?

if they are equivalent products I would rather buy at home from Beijer even though they are often considered expensive

Note that Beijer's underlayment is not diffusion-open, it is not the same type of product as Tyvek Supro.

I myself ordered underlayment from Roofing Superstore the other day... found their own brand with equivalent products that are cheaper than Tyvek.

oh, thanks for the info,

what were the names of the cloths you ordered?
I've been looking at Tyvek Supro and Tyvek Housewrap

what did they charge for shipping to Sweden?

I have bought that tarp from Roofing superstore.
As mikaell wrote, it is exactly the right product, a super strong reinforced tarp that works great. Shipping is extra expensive if you want a 2.7 m-width as such a roll doesn't fit on a standard pallet, but for 1.2 m-width, it is not that expensive.

thanks for the info!

I need 6 rolls and they wanted £195 extra for shipping. + £37 which seems to be within England. so £232 in total, it's strange that it's still more cost-effective to get it from there,

for the roof, I'm going to buy Tyvek Supro Plus, but for the walls, I'm wondering if there's something more cost-effective than Tyvek Housewrap, it will be placed between old and new paneling so I'm not sure if you need the most durable one there, anyone find "housewraps" on their site?

how long was the delivery to Sweden?

I was thinking of buying this tarpaulin to lay directly on the rafters, then battens, and finally metal roofing sheets on top.
There is a bit of a lack of information about the tarpaulin.
Does it have double adhesive edges?
What is the recommended minimum roof pitch?

Update: Used Roofingsuperstore's excellent chat.
This cheap membrane works down to 6 degrees but does not have built-in adhesive edges, so you need to complement with butyl tape. Profit lost, in other words. They recommended Tyvek supro membrane instead.
