I have just acquired a whiteboard 122x150cm weighing 22kg with a screw hole in each corner. Does anyone know if it can be hung on 40mm porous concrete? Which screw/plug can I use in that case?

Porous concrete, similar to siporex? In that case, there are a couple of siporex plugs that hold really well. Fischer manufactures them, and they are available at Beijer.

22kg distributed over four screws is nothing. Just figure out what material you have in the wall, and then just take the appropriate plug for that material. The weight is not an issue here, regardless of the wall type.

A big thank you for the answers lajsiiwan and MathiasS!

I have test drilled and out comes gray powder with roughly the same grain size as table salt. I just looked on Wikipedia - it's probably Siporex as lajsiiwan says!

Our house is built of Siporex mixed with blåbetong, we have hung all sorts of things on those walls, 42-inch plasma and kitchen cabinets among others. Fischer has very good plugs for such walls, available at Bauhaus as well.

The whiteboard is now in place with sturdy Fischer plugs.
Fantastic - Thanks for the help lajsiiwan, MathiasS, and Jan-Å!
