Hello,

I'm considering installing flooring between the blue-marked areas in the image below. I plan to install a loft ladder to the right instead. I believe it's cc 80cm between the beams. The room is at the top of an old house, so the beams in the picture support the entire roof. Since the beams are load-bearing, I shouldn't need to worry about them not being able to handle some additional weight/stress?

Should I frame it up cc 60 or cc 40 (in the other direction), or would it work to lay C24 45x220 mm directly on the beams as flooring: https://www.bygghemma.se/hus-och-by...-och-reglar/regel-gran-c24-45x220-mm/p-395121 ?

Should a professional be consulted?

Thanks!

Attic space with wooden beams and a ladder leading up to a blue-marked area. Door on the left; plants and skylight visible above.

Wouldn't it be fitting to have some tempered glass here? I think I saw some picture earlier this week of that.
