I am going to widen a doorway and will reinforce with a glulam beam (90 thick) above and studs on the sides (45 thick), in accordance with the constructor's instructions. But which screws should I use (and in what dimensions)? The glulam beam at the top and one side stud will be screwed into timber, and the other side stud into brick...

You use the same screw.
Plug N8 - screw 5.0 and N10 - screw 6.0
An 8 mm plug and screw 5x90 should be sufficient, or alternatively 5x100.
My tip is to screw them slightly offset with a C/C of about 50.
