Would you have chosen the 65mm (mathematically correct) nails or the 75mm?
I would have chosen 65 mm, because those nails are slightly thinner. And that will make it less likely to crack the panel. They will also go in better and easier.

For end grain in general and fascia boards in particular, I would choose 4" / 100 mm nails. Nails don't hold as well in end grain since it's along the fibers. Additionally, fascia boards and the ends of the battens are exposed to harsh weather conditions.
There should be a pinned thread explaining how to choose nails, nail guns, or different screws.
