Hello! I'm in the middle of renovating our villa built in 1946, the walls (the ones we've torn down for various reasons) consist of träullit and whatever this is (see image) so my question, what is this material called and how do you attach things like kitchen cabinets to it? It's incredibly porous and loose. It looks like some kind of lightweight concrete with debris in it, a bit of bark or some mineral, stone pieces, and glass shards(?)
All my Googling attempts have failed. Grateful for any answers!
The piece in the image is light and about 20 cm long for reference.

  • Piece of porous construction material with various mixed particles, including small stones and shards, placed on plastic.
Looks almost homemade.

So-called byggmästarblandning...

How were the old kitchen cabinets attached?

Builder's mix is probably a good guess, but did they go to the trouble of making blocks out of it? I forgot to mention that the walls are built from blocks in this material, in lightweight concrete size. The chimney stack is made of brick, but there is some blåbetong here and there as well, so it's a lovely mix.
Good question about the old kitchen, I've dismantled it myself and it was "hanging" with thick screws in the wooden ceiling, didn't think more of it until now, but now I think I understand why:)

Could it be made of slag?
Helped a friend with work on his 1920s house a few years ago and there was slag in the joists.
