Hello.

We have had to insulate our entrance in the BRF and with that were forced to build in a beautifully plastered original ceiling. The pillars run under the gypsum ceiling and all the way around. Now we want to build up the pillars in the ceiling again purely for decorative purposes, but the question is what material we should use. The carpenter didn't want to use gypsum boards as they would be too heavy. Is there some kind of plaster material you think might work, like cellplats? I also looked at wet room boards.

There are usually ready-made stucco, columns, and ceiling beams in styrofoam for decorative purposes. Unsure how easy it is to build yourself, but maybe there are ready-made ones available?
