Which material for driveway? Help me choose...
Hello,
We need to redo our driveway, which is about 85m2. Currently, there's cracked asphalt from the 60s that needs to be removed asap. The entrance path is slate, so something that goes well with that. Considering the brick facade, we might want something a little "calmer," like larger slabs or asphalt, or maybe not.
I will get help from a digger for the groundwork, but my friends and I will do the paving.
What do you think? Asphalt, concrete slabs, Visby structure, natural stone?
Feel free to share pictures of your driveways for inspiration

Looks like a nice, well-preserved house! Sjöstensplattor would be period-appropriate. Maybe you can get a sufficient amount for free if you're lucky. Irregular skiffer would give a more modern look but would also fit in. Fix the path to the house at the same time

We need to work on our driveway, which is about 85m2. Right now, there is cracked asphalt from the '60s, and it needs to be removed asap. I will get help from an excavator with the groundwork, but the laying will be done by me and a few friends.

Please show pictures of your driveways for inspirationuse cobblestones or paving stones, they'll look very nice. Otherwise, opt for new and fresh asphalt.
