I used a blind bottom board (waxed, 8-9mm thick) and screwed it against the support plank. Otherwise, I would use PL400 which sticks to almost everything and also handles movements well.
Are you going under the house to glue boards from underneath to the floor joists? Or should they be dropped down from above and land on something like 22x95/120 planks?
From underneath doesn't seem completely reliable without some sort of wooden pieces screwed up and clamped against them. From above, it should be possible to glue and screw the 22x95s at an angle so you can place the masonite on them.
I can add that I'm not sure what glues adhere to oil-hardened board, but I would probably screw it down if there was any possibility.
Here's how it looks. I was planning to insert boards between the support beam and the joists and screw where possible. It's mainly at the edges that I intended to glue something like 45x45 on the boards on top and then screw these into the sill to make it somewhat tight. So the glue is mostly to keep things in place, as the load is quite small.
