Hello

Which direction do you think plasterboards should be installed on this ceiling and why? According to Norgips, the short sides should align with the sunlight from the window, but I don't understand why. The person doing the plastering said it doesn't matter to him. But I actually think the long sides should align with the sunlight as it might reduce the risk of issues with raking light on the joints.

  • Ceiling with exposed wooden beams and insulation material above a window. A wire hangs from the ceiling.
Buy Norgips plan and install them in the same direction as the glespanel.

The short side is not recessed so the idea is to have as small "bulges" as possible.
The long sides are evenly plastered so no elevation is visible there.

Ok so along the sparsely spaced panels, in other words. Should you cut between the short sides to make it easier to spackle? Like the wall? Anything else to consider compared to the wall?
