Which ceiling??

Hello!

We are in the process of building a house and are now facing the choice of which roofing materials to use. In the kitchen, I would like to have a slightly old-fashioned style, possibly with wide planks for the ceiling, maybe with beams to make it look even more old-fashioned.

What options are there to choose from, or are there other suggestions? I don't like plasterboard or those panels that are "grained."

A smoothly plastered gypsum ceiling is old-fashioned in itself depending on what type of moldings etc. you choose.

There are MDF boards that are groove-milled and look like beadboard, 6mm thick. I believe the company is called something like Panelskivan.
