Where to find ceiling gypsum with a thickness of 10mm?
Hello,
In our townhouse built in 1983, the ceiling plasterboard is 10mm thick. Since the plasterboard was quite damaged in a spot where previous owners installed ceiling lights, I need to replace a section of about 20x20cm. Does anyone know where I can get hold of plasterboard with a thickness of 10mm?

9mm + a few layers of lumppapp behind might work?
Thanks for the tip, but is there 9mm for indoor use? I've heard that you shouldn't use impregnated material indoors (I only found 9mm exterior gypsum when I searched). It's also a bit strange that no one seems to have 10mm thickness anymore. There should be someone who has it at home and needs a joint piece or similar and doesn't want to redo everything.
because you don't necessarily need a plaster piece to fix it. though it's easiest for DIY enthusiasts. keep in mind the repair might be visible.pali75 said:Thanks for the tip, but is there 9mm for indoor use? Aren't there other types of boards in 10 mm? It doesn't have to be gypsum.
take masonite + 6mm renovation plasterboard.
Thanks for the tips! No, you might not need plaster but it felt most natural when it was before. I think I'll go with masonite and then 6mm renovation plasterboard. I added two cross battens/glazing panels that I'll screw both the old and new board into, so it shouldn't show if patched up nicely and painted.
