Absolutely, you could use a chisel or a jigsaw set at 45', but unfortunately, the result will reflect that. If you're really skilled with a chisel, you might get it perfect, but it's not something the average person can manage. Okay, great, so you bought a router; you can always sell it when you're done if you don't get too hooked. But sure, you understood the thing with the stops (the pieces of wood) I wrote about that you can secure with clamps, right? Once you've tested on a 45x95 how you want it, you can cut the boards to the right length so you just need to align them edge to edge with the end of the posts, avoiding having to measure each bevel.
