Where to buy glued edge oak panels in slightly thicker dimensions?
Hi, does anyone know where I can buy oak glued-laminated timber to build stair treads from? I assume that 40 mm thickness will suffice as the free span width will be 800 mm on the underlying stringers. The tread depth will be 270 mm. Where can I get this and does anyone have an idea about the pricing?

You need to call for a price quote. I have a price list, but it doesn't include Limfog ek 40 mm.

Or maybe Fredells?

I bought a 38mm untreated countertop at Silvan. From it, I sawed steps for the stairs, beveled the edges, and then oiled them. Works fine for me. To make the best use of the slab, the strips ended up in the direction of traffic, it would have been a bit nicer to have them the other way. I made a spiral staircase, so steps just over 60cm wide were sufficient.
