Hi! Can anyone help a cautious homeowner? I need to mount an arm for a 32" TV and must hit the center of a stud to avoid finding the TV on the floor one morning.
The house is from '68 and the interior walls are covered with porous wood panels. Impossible to find by tapping! What is the normal stud distance? c-c 90?
Practical advice?

When you believe you are near a rule, you can probe with a 1 mm drill until you are completely sure. The small extra holes should be covered by the mount; otherwise, you can usually fill them with your nail and touch up with (water) paint if needed.
Check the rulebook...
Haha, damn, I'm so funny!

Did a test drilling next to the skirting board. There was 150 cm between the studs! Probably a porous wood board on horizontal wooden paneling. Now it's rock solid. Thanks for the answers! I'll check out the stud finder for next time.
Regarding the rule book... Yes, you are actually really funny!!
