Hello! I have searched a lot on the Swedish web but can't find anything about this...

I am going to build an awning construction that you can see on patios with 2 steel poles that are attached to the ground and between them a glulam beam. On the glulam beam, an awning is then attached in each direction.

1 where do I buy the steel poles see attached film
2 where do I buy the "foot" for the steel pole that I will then attach to the wooden deck see attached images
3 Alternatively, where can I buy this second-hand and then just buy new awnings?
Red metal post base with square bracket and four mounting holes, used for securing steel posts to decking or ground surfaces.

One makes a drawing and submits it to their smith/steel workshop. It's not something you buy ready-made. Just attaching to the wooden deck is not sufficient... there are significant forces that attachment is exposed to.

Thanks for the response. But...
Shouldn't there be some standard to buy? I've seen many solutions where the column has a "ready" spot to insert the glulam beam. Do you mean everything is custom-built? I've also seen the same type of base in many places, like the one I show in the picture, but with a larger "plate."

OK, I accept that I need to secure it more firmly than just screwing it into the decking. I have steel beams under the wooden deck which is actually a dock. So once I have the column and "base," I think it will involve some form of welding or another solution to attach to the steel beam I have under the deck. Unfortunately, the steel beams are not placed directly under where the column should go. So there's a bit of thinking on how that should be solved...

Doesn't anyone else have some ideas or suggestions??

And Verktygsgurun, if I'm going to a steel workshop do you have any suggestions for ones in the Stockholm area?

Hello!

I bought exactly those steel feet (stolpskor) at Jula for about 25 - 30 kronor.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with the poles.

Thanks thamström77! I'll check with them!

Anyone else have suggestions on where I can find fötter and stolpar?

No point in going to Jula. They don't have those kinds of items. What Thamström77 probably saw is a galvanized metal post shoe that's common when installing a railing on, for example, a deck. You need heavier-duty items.

Yep you are right Verktygsgurun. Will look for blacksmiths and steel workshops. If you have any tips on a good one, let me know :-)
