Where can one get this kind of bitumen tape in Sweden if you want to properly protect the bottom of the wall? What is it called?

Bumping this thread again. I've been thinking about this some more. Got a bit stuck on EPDM rubber (after watching YouTube videos of them applying EPDM on roofs). If you glue a strip of EPDM at the bottom of the wall (exterior gypsum or similar), it should last forever

Where can you buy EPDM rubber sheeting and contact adhesive for this? I also read that pond liner is exactly the same as roof liner (but they're cleaner so the fish don't die). So you can use pond EPDM.

Why should you use something like that? Without much knowledge of American construction techniques, the question is about the rest of the structure. Water/moisture sealing on both sides of a wall (ditt.spärr inv. according to Swedish standards) but only at the bottom on the outside seems a bit risky because that is where any moisture will end up eventually between the sealing layers, right?

It's just because I have such a low concrete slab where I'm going to build my "friggebod." On the old shed I tore down, the sill + wind barrier at the bottom had also gone bad. So I thought I'd improve the construction this time. (I wasn't the one who built the previous shed).

The video shows that he is building the lower part of the wall with pressure-treated plywood. In Sweden, it is "forbidden" to use pressure-treated wood in constructions.

Add a row of Leca blocks on the slab if you need to raise the wood from the ground.

EPDM pond liner can be purchased at places like Hornbach and costs around 90:-/M2. It can also be ordered online.
