I spent a long time thinking about which forum to post this thread in. It ended up here, if it's the wrong place feel free to point me to the right area.
So, I'm planning a couple of very small projects at home. One is to veneer the TV stand which is currently just painted white MDF. The problem is that I can't find any veneer - either fake or real. Do you have any tips on where I can find some?
Secondly, I want to make a small gadget for my center speaker (in the home theater), so I can slide it in and out of the TV stand. The idea is to make it somewhat like a kitchen drawer, but for this, I need some types of rails and steel rods (iron? I don't know) and then a plate to place the center speaker on. I have looked at the major hardware stores' websites but haven't found anything of value.
If you have any ideas on where I can find these things please let me know. They must be available in Örebro or online. Thanks!
