Hello everyone!

After purchasing a new LCD TV, I've encountered a problem. I have no idea what type of wall I want to mount it on. The first thing I did was assume it was a drywall, got a stud finder, and started searching—only to find it didn't detect anything at all!

I drilled a hole in the wall to find out what it was made of, and after about 6cm I concluded it must be lightweight concrete or something similar! Consulted a friend, and he said it could be lightweight concrete or a Siporex wall, and that they differ in how you mount things on each type.

About the wall:
100mm thick
Is between a room and the bathroom (i.e., tiles on the other side)

What kind of wall could it be? What's best to use for mounting a 14kg LCD with 4 mounting points? (I've looked at lightweight concrete plugs from Hilti, but want to be sure!)

The TV will be hanging above the bed, and if it goes wrong, it would be a really unpleasant way to wake up :)

All replies are warmly welcome!
Regards

Lightweight concrete, also known as Gasbetong, was primarily available in two brands in Sweden in the past. One is Yxhults "Ytong," and the other is "Siporex" from Siporex AB.

They are very similar in properties and do not differ concerning fastening. There are genuine lightweight concrete plugs that are only used for lightweight concrete. These are suitable for use.

Alright, then it looks like the TV will be set up tomorrow after all - Thank you so much for the answer! :)
