Hello,

I'm in the process of styling my house for sale and need to do something about the basement stairs. The stairs are concrete and have a damaged plastic mat, kind of like linoleum, that's glued on. The stairs lead down to a newly renovated recreation room with oak parquet and white stone walls.

How can I spruce up the stairs quickly and cheaply? Maybe something like wall-to-wall carpet, a new plastic mat etc? Cutting wood pieces to fit each step feels completely out of the question.

Preferably, I should be able to manage it myself (and I'm not very handy with tools :blushing: )

lay klinker on it.

Scrape off the plastic mat and the glue, leave the concrete as it is if it's nice, otherwise paint it.

Tiles would look terrible, I think.
