Hello,
Long time lurker here on the forum, but I just bought my first condominium, so I felt it was time to make my first post.
The apartment is in good condition and there's nothing major that needs to be done, however, we would like to do the following:
- Replace tiles in the hallway (potentially with underfloor heating)
- Paint ceiling and walls (seems to be fiber weave in some places, does this need to be plastered?)
- Install a few more outlets in various places
- Reroute the fiber optic cable to move the fiber box (requires removing the old cable channel)
- Run electricity and water to the washing machine in the bathroom
Since I plan to hire someone to do all this, I'm wondering, is there an order in which it's best to do these tasks? For example, should painting always be done last, or can they do it before installing electrical outlets and replacing the floor?
Bonus question: What would you say is a reasonable cost for each item? I've lived in rental apartments my whole life, so I have no idea what's reasonable. I've sent out 6 requests for quotes to different companies that got good reviews on Reco.
Thanks for the answers!
P.S. I have attached some pictures of the floor and wall condition.
