What kind of screw head is this?
I am going to move a patio and need to dismantle a trellis wall first. But I can't for the life of me find a bit that fits the screws used in the assembly. Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Does anyone recognize the trace? What could it be called? I can't find anything similar on Google. Tried Torq which looked quite similar but they didn't fit at all.
Looks like a torq-set: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_screw_drives#Torq-set
I think so too. Here is a link. http://www.irwin.com/tools/fastener-drive/torq-set-insert-bits I also believe that brands like Wera have these. They might also be available in a "special bit set" from places like Classe or Biltema.tveksamt said:
They are called LOX.

Seems to be something Grabber came up with themselves?

I usually install about every tenth screw or so with a torq-set. Or maybe a tri-wing if I'm in the mood for it. I'm sure future renovators will find it amusing
It works perfectly fine with Ph2 on LOX.S stigdaniel said:I need to move a patio and first need to dismantle a trellis wall. Just because I joked about this, I ended up with problems myself. I'm working on the facade and needed to loosen some of the sheet metal that the tinsmith screwed where the metal meets the facade. The screw was like a mounting screw and looked like torx. But no bit fit. Upon closer inspection, there were eight grooves instead of six like regular torx. Eventually, I managed to back them out with a flathead screwdriver. I probably need to stop sneaking in airplane screws just to mess with people, seems to bring bad karma
It's called lox and is used for decking screws from, among others, grabbeeS stigdaniel said:I need to move a patio and first I need to dismantle a trellis wall. Thanks for the tip! I did get a response in the thread two years ago, but you deserve praise for finding the thread.
