What kind of "cement" to fix the fireplace edge?

Going to fix the edge around the fireplace on the upper floor. What is recommended for this? Preferably something available at byggmax.

Both on the fireplace itself and on the edge beside it.

I will not wallpaper over it as done by others before, just paint it afterward.

what does C stand for? I saw that byggmax also had a b and c classification...

You should have a lime mortar. Not available at byggmax

C stands for the strength of the mortar, and it is the strength of the existing one that determines the choice of mortar.

isn't lime mortar on the edge from before. instead, it's a free-standing ant edge with regular bricks.. or should one put lime mortar there instead?

Anyway, the bricks will remain either visible or plastered. The choice is yours.
Lime mortar is manufactured by, for example, maxit, finja, sto, and combimix. Just check their websites for retailers.
