Apologies in advance if I've posted in the wrong subforum.

I'm renovating A hand holding a metal anchor bolt with a threaded end, found inside a garage wall during renovation. in the garage and found some of these in the wall. Some came out easily, but some are really stuck.

What are they called, and does anyone have tips on how to get them out? They're in a bit of an awkward spot for the angle grinder...

Thanks in advance
/Jocke

They are concrete expanders and the easiest way is to cut them just below the surface.

Cut them and then knock in the piece that might be sticking out.

If the person who installed them has done it correctly, they have drilled deep enough that you just need to tap them in. Sometimes they can be pulled out, but otherwise, tap them in and leave them there.
