A bit scary is that we import cement products from China with asbestos in them
From there only CE marked material comes..... (ChinesExport)

Previously worked at an import company and perhaps 10-15% followed Swedish regulations. A lamp they brought in as a sample had the Chinese saving money by only running a single wire in the lamp. The other was attached to the chassis. Unfortunately, there are many companies that do not follow the regulations.

Well, I was responsible for the thread lift of the year (or actually last year) when I lifted a 10-year-old thread without reflecting on it :D

What is used to polish up window sills made of black Eternit?

Polish?

Something that is not in the least abrasive anyway.

This year's thread lift in replay ;)
Floor polish gives a nice surface on window sills and in this case binds the surface, which is good.

Thanks

All window sills are now dismantled but with all the fittings still screwed into the sills. The house was built the same year they closed the factory in Lomma and the "big scandal and tragedy" was uncovered.
Lots of workers got silicosis or cancer and died because of the work there.
Apparently, I got some of the last batch that was produced.
Why on earth did you take down fully functional window sills and what did you put there instead?

Probably because there was asbestos in them.

I was afraid of that. The curse of the Internet!

I've understood your view on asbestos, and although I actually agree with you that the hysteria is often unreasonable, I would never want asbestos indoors completely exposed in that way.
I don't feel entirely comfortable with my children running around and driving toy cars on asbestos.

The fact that the risks are close to 0 even in the worst-case scenario of the sheet accidentally breaking during an accident is actually irrelevant to me.

To call it the curse of the internet for not wanting asbestos on a surface in the living room is a strange way to look at it.
