We have a cottage foundation and under the joists, there is a brown thin (4-6mm thick) glossy/smooth board that holds up the insulation/seals. The other side of the board is coarse.

What are these boards called?

Is it thin and flexible?

same, same (masonite is probably a product name)

Whether it is oil-tempered or not (byggboard) is more a question of surface treatment.

With the absolute highest probability, trossbottenskiva. It is what is normally used for trossbotten.
