I am tearing down some tiles because I am going to install a new cabinet frame where there will be a built-in oven and cooktop.

As I suspected beforehand, it would be difficult to remove them without tearing up a bit of the wall. And what has been torn up, I want to fill.

Which filler should I buy for this area?

Tiles being removed from a kitchen wall to install a cabinet; visible patches of wall need spackling.

What is the purpose of plastering? Are you going to paint the wall or install other tiles?

Want in my head to know that there is a straight wall behind there. Then as an amateur, I don't know if it needs to be protected in some way behind it :)

Edit: No, there should not be any tiles there again. It should just be a cabinet with a built-in oven in front.

I hadn't bothered to spackle. Just carefully knock off the bottom row of tiles. I was a bit... hmm how should I say... too meticulous when I started renovating my house. But I soon realized how long everything took, so now I don't put as much effort into things that won't be visible. Except for important things, like electrical and plumbing, of course.
