I have a wall that I want to open up, see pictures. The wall is load-bearing and there is a stud that I want to remove, so the old door opening to the kitchen + 60 makes the total opening 1620 mm. My idea is to place a T-beam 100 x 100 x 10 in the opening between the studs at the top. It will then rest on 22 x 195 which I screw into the studs. Could this be a solution that works? Anything special I should consider? How do you support during the time you put the T-beam in place?
