I am going to replace the anti-slip plywood on some of my scaffolding platforms.
The panels need to be cut on two sides, what is appropriate to seal the cut edge with?
Regular varnish paint?!

Spontaneously, I'm thinking oil of some sort, goes in quite far

I'd prefer epoxy glue, applied as thickly as possible.
But is it necessary to protect the edges?
If it is WBP plywood (Water-Boil-Proof), wouldn't the plywood hold up anyway?

Yes, it should be WBP but thinking over time? The boards that are there now have been outside for 25 years, and they are starting to be quite bad. But maybe it's unnecessary to do anything more after cutting?

Ahh yes, you're thinking about it flaring up, I was thinking about rain :p silly me.

Anything hard is likely to crack, so it should probably be something a bit flexible or durable at least.

It became polyester from Biltema's boat department...
