I am about to buy some kind of wet room panels.
I have seen the warning in other articles too, but it is not stated under which brand names the panels have been sold in Sweden.
Why isn't this written out clearly
Anyone here on BH who can tell which panels and brand names should be boycotted??

Take regular gypsum and then hire a licensed floor layer for wet areas who can install vinyl flooring. There is a special vinyl for tiling on. Approved and proven, unlike the new systems with rolled waterproofing and foil.
For my part, I will install the boards on basement (exterior) walls to cover lime-treated walls and to some extent achieve sound insulation and a good surface for filling and painting. They will thus not be installed in wet rooms. But due to the basement, I don't want to install paper drywall.nino said:
No, you have a point there, I think, Farmacell fibergips preferably 18mm, then I think you'll get good sound insulation. Are you going to make a framework outside the wall or were you thinking of gluing/screwing the boards in place?
I suspect that metal studs that are perhaps 20 mm are better than screwing directly against.nino said:
The distance itself becomes sound dampening.
I'm not sure if this air space should be filled with something like glass wool insulation. It would be good for sound insulation but perhaps not so good since it's a basement exterior wall?
What do the rest of you think?
