Want built-in wardrobe. Can you buy ready-made?
Actually, I have two questions.
1) We need three built-in wardrobes next to each other in our hallway. Is that something you can buy at IKEA or hardware stores (have searched without finding anything)? Or how do you do it?
2) Also, planning to lay a new floor in the hallway. Oiled oak parquet of click model. Should I lay the floor before fixing the wardrobes in place? Or is it better to do it the other way around?
Grateful for answers!

Hello.
What do you mean by built-in wardrobe? If it is a wardrobe that fits tightly against the ceiling, you can find it at, for example, IKEA. You simply have to find a fitting piece to place around. If it's more built-in than that, it probably becomes a walk-in closet or "dressing room."
In any case, I would have laid the floor first over the entire area.

Yeah, if it's okay with you. I've done both above the wardrobes and over the upper cabinets in the kitchen to avoid "dust collectors" ;-)
I last used IKEA's PAX system but had to cut them down a bit as they were too tall. I made filler pieces from an extra door or cover panel, depending on what you want.

Ok. Maybe a dumb question: But how do you really get the cabinets to be securely mounted in the room? Do you attach them in any way to the floor/ceiling? And what do you attach the filler pieces to? As I said - maybe a dumb question - but I am a beginner at this...
I have done a few different things. However, I have attached all cabinets/wardrobes in one way or another. Most often with a small angle bracket.
The filler pieces I have mostly just glued against a couple of blocks that have been attached to the cabinet frame.

Everything over 140 should be attached to the wall. Just think how easily a wardrobe or chest of drawers can tip over with the drawers pulled out. A small child can easily be flattened like a pancake.
