Wall without furring strip?

I am planning to build an exterior wall with iCell insulation, without a vapor barrier but with a vapor brake.

Insulated standing studs and horizontal secondary studs.

Can I directly mount horizontal OSB and vertical drywall onto this - or is there a point in installing vertical battens on the secondary studs first?

I understand that plastic requires spacing so that the board is not placed directly against the plastic; the question is whether it makes sense to use the same setup for a vapor barrier.

Will you do electrical wiring in the wall?
