The problem in our case will probably mainly be the facade since we plan to have free-range (the horses will be able to go in and out as they please) and thus the horses will also be directly outside the stable. Other areas should be manageable, I think. I know some choose a metal facade for this reason, but it doesn't feel like an option for aesthetic reasons.

If possible, you could have a 3-sided wind shelter for the horses in the pasture and just the stable for the night. But maybe you plan to have a proper free-range setup with only the stable as wind protection and a place to lie down?

It is primarily the lack of space that makes us choose to put everything in the same building, and to have the pastures directly outside. Maybe a little for the sake of convenience too The stable will be both a large shelter (with doors so that the entire stable can be closed off if needed) and stalls. The stalls will have doors both into the stable and out to the pasture outside so that they can also be used as "mini open stables".

Karl Hedin in town had tongue and groove floorboards 45*120 I think they were.
Wanted a significant slope, it's going to be a kick

Yes, I used https://nordsjoidedesign.se/produkt/okategoriserad/nordsjo-original-panellack-matt/

They had it so they mixed it in a gray shade.
Unfortunately, this has been discontinued from Nordsjö's range.
But I bought 3 x 10 liters in Norway a couple of weeks ago.
I only needed 1 can but got 2 more for free since it's being discontinued.
