I'm considering doing some pipe penetrations from the garage and a few other odds and ends. The house and garage are attached. How is such a wall usually constructed? Is it an exterior wall with a vapor barrier and everything, or is it an interior wall with just studs, drywall, and insulation? The house is from the 90s if that matters in this context...

No one has any idea how it is usually done? The question is of course about a garage that was built at the same time as the house...

It should at least be double plasterboard or equivalent for fire protection. Otherwise, it depends on how the garage is constructed.

It is probably an exterior wall possibly without paneling.

I chose to build the wall between the house and garage almost the same as my exterior walls.
My wall consists of: drywall - wall particleboard - 70mm horizontal studs/mineral wool - 170mm vertical studs/mineral wool - 70mm horizontal studs/mineral wool - wall particleboard - drywall.
Since I have heat year-round in the garage, I ignored the plastic.
