Vapor barrier in partition wall (shares garage with neighbor)?

Hello knowledgeable ones!

I have built a new garage with my neighbor. I have now installed a vapor barrier on all the walls on my side, including the partition wall that divides the garage. The garage will be heated during the winter. The neighbor will also insulate and heat his side. Now that I have installed a vapor barrier on my side, should it work if he doesn't do it on his side of the partition wall?

There could be problems if the neighbor heats but not you. I see it as a bit inappropriate because you don't know how it will be used in the future.

I have been unclear! My side will be heated all year round!

As mentioned, it will be warm on my side all year round!

Anyone have an idea...remove or keep the plastic on my side?

95mm wall...no not rushed but wiser after the fact

Okay, I guess I'll have to remove the plastic, otherwise the moisture will remain in the wall, I assume. Exterior wall 165mm

As long as you are warmer than the neighbor, it's fine, and they don't use plastic!
You can have plastic if you know you will always heat up.

That's what I was thinking... then the moisture should get to his side and not remain in the wall... we both should heat up, but I will likely be warmer.

It feels like the partition wall becomes like any other interior wall, ignore the plastic.
