I am planning to completely renovate a room with the replacement of the floor and wallpaper. In connection with that, I thought it would be good to move a ComHem cable into VP pipes. It is currently nailed along the skirting boards. I also plan to install network cables in VP pipes. In total, I'm thinking of 3 pipes.

All the cables will run from one corner to the diagonally opposite corner. The room is about 3.5 meters square, so approximately 5 meters the shortest way. The problem is that the walls and ceiling are concrete. So if I have to run it all the way in the wall or ceiling, it will involve a lot of cutting grooves in concrete and issues with crossing electrical conduits.

I was thinking that it might be possible to cut a groove down to the floor and lay the pipes there instead. The floor currently consists of about 50 mm of polystyrene on top of concrete, and 22 mm chipboard with plastic mat on top. I will replace the chipboard with a thinner one and have 14 mm parquet on top of that. My idea is to lay the VP pipes in cut grooves in the polystyrene.

Is this reasonable or are there problems with it that I haven't thought of? Grateful for tips.

There are no surprises in "fräsa" with vp pipes about 20mm in the foam plastic, are there?
