Hello everyone,
Now I'm not quite sure if I have the right place and question here, but I hope at least that someone experienced can answer this,
I have bought a concrete mixer 165L and wonder how many 25KG concrete bags fit in it? Also if the mixing time is 10 minutes or more?
Huge thanks for the help.
Best regards

About 12 liters per bag. Then I wouldn't fill it up completely as it becomes quite unsteady.

5 sacks approximately.

In my 130 liters, 20 kg of cement is perfect.

Slightly less than half of the drum's volume usually works well. In your case, maybe 5-6 25-kg bags.

If you haven't operated a concrete mixer before and it's a cheaper model, remember to never start the machine with a full drum if you've turned it off. You risk the capacitor breaking since the cheaper models can't handle starting a full drum as they don't have enough torque.

Thank you to all of you who answered my question, but when I read the instruction manual, it states the following:
Drum volume in Liters 165
Working volume in Liters 100 to 130
so what do they mean by working volume?
Thank you

Start the mixer, add gravel & sand, add water. Experiment without pouring in cement, you will notice when it overflows. Then you have found the upper limit of the working volume.
The drum should tilt when the mixture is running.
Make sure to clean the mixer both inside & outside after the work session is completed, and you will enjoy it for many years.

Thank you, but I don't have any sand or gravel, I have ordered ready-mixed coarse concrete.
I want to check how much time (or how many mixes in the mixer) it will take for pouring for a room of 6 sqm with a 10 cm thick slab.
Thanks for the help.

Expect that you can mix 60-80 liters.

What you mix should have plenty of space to move around in the mixer, so if you're making concrete, you can't load in so much.

Now I know nothing about concrete, but the drum volume must be how much the drum holds if you fill it completely. But you can't work like that.

Work volume is probably how much you should have in it when you're mixing.

Does this mean there is an error in the instruction manual?
By the way, the mixer was bought at Jula, a Polish-made one.
I will simply have to wait until my concrete is at home and then test to see how much it can take.
Thank you for all the responses.
Best regards

I also have a Julablandare - the largest model. Don't remember how many liters it holds, but I also noticed that it has a small capacity. I don't mix more than a couple or three bags at a time before the motor starts smelling like plastic.

They can't be compared to the original, but it was cheap...

Yes, it is the largest model they have, it is also cheaper now. I took the opportunity and bought it yesterday for 2690 Kr while they have a sale. I didn't find any used ones, so I bought this one. It is really big.
Best regards

had to check what it was I had.

it was a 130 liter one and in that it's a maximum of 60 liters if you want good stirring

If you were just going to mix a room and have nothing else, I would definitely rent a brocka (tombola) instead. Return the Jula mixer and rent a proper one! :)

As for the volume, you'll notice how much you can mix. In a 130l, I would guess 60-80 liters effectively. Working volume is probably what it can hold, not what it can mix. (when you're done mixing, you can raise it and let it spin just like a cement truck so the mass doesn't sit still and cure)
