We bought our house about four years ago. The humidity in the crawl space was high during certain periods, so we installed a dehumidifier and sealed all the ventilation holes. We now have 70 percent humidity there. Is there any risk with having no ventilation in the crawl space, and if so, should we install a fan to create negative pressure in the crawl space?
What kind of dehumidifier is installed? I have a Corroventa in mine and it only has an exhaust, everything else is sealed = negative pressure.
If you have a dehumidifier, you don't want it open to the outside, then the dehumidifier will try to dehumidify the whole world and you'll get an expensive electric bill.

It's a Woods SW38 so it doesn't have an exhaust.L Leafy said:What kind of dehumidifier is installed? I have a Corroventa in mine and it only has an exhaust, everything else is sealed = negative pressure.

Hi, side note on an old thread but how do you find the noise level of the Corroventa? Considering installing one but it seems to make quite a bit of noise.
