Hello!

Our inspector said that we should drill holes in the rafters right up at the outer roof because that section is not open at the bottom. For the air gap to work, there apparently needs to be a connection to the next section's air gap. My question is how large should the holes be and at what intervals so that it is sufficiently ventilated? Was the question understandable?

Can't you install mold stoppers instead?
I can't say I like the idea of starting to cut holes in the roof trusses.

What is mögelstoppers? The inspector talked about 20mm holes. I don't really know how much it weakens the truss.
