Hello!

I bought relatively expensive Hopen wardrobes from IKEA for 5,000 SEK. This was almost 2 years ago. Now I noticed that the veneer has lifted a bit on the inside.

Can I reinforce with an iron and baking paper in between? I saw on TV a few years ago that you iron on veneer to attach it to fiberboard...but I assume there needs to be glue too?

I wonder how long the warranty is at IKEA...

One trick is to get hold of a syringe and use it to inject glue under the veneer. Then you need to press it with the help of clamps or similar tools.

Ikea usually does not question returns. However, it is indeed bothersome to dismantle and install new ones,

If the veneer was originally mounted with a hot melt adhesive, then it works with an iron, so give it a try.
