Hello, I got help building a fence 8 years ago. Now one of the post shoes for the gate has come loose and wobbles. The post shoes were glued except for two posts where they were fastened with thread and screw. Unfortunately, one corner of the fastening wall broke when they drilled, so they chose to glue the rest. My idea now is to buy M8 stainless threaded rod and drill into the wall at four corners of the post shoe and secure the threaded rod with anchor paste. Since it is only 2 cm out to the edge, I am afraid the wall will break. Additionally, I now see that some mortar is missing under one side of the post, which of course contributes to instability. How would you have done it? Is it possible to press some sort of adhesive underneath instead of drilling/thread rods/bolts?
