Hi!

I have done an extensive renovation of a house and have some Mataki W25 wind protection left. I am going to install a new ceiling in the garage and possibly later convert it into a guest house, so I am considering installing a vapor barrier in the ceiling. However, I am now wondering if I could use the wind protection instead, to save that money.

Right or it could work or no, not a good idea!

Rickard.
The wind barrier is probably as close to completely diffusion-open as you can make a membrane that still should prevent air movement; it probably does very little in that regard.

If I'm not mistaken, a vapor barrier should have about 100 times more vapor resistance.
